Don’t Miss Out on Grant Assistance

If so, you may be eligible for grant support from the Selective Finance for Investment (SFI) scheme. The scheme is available to qualifying businesses in the assisted areas of England, and is administered by the appropriate regional developments agencies. This means ONE NorthEast in the north of our region and Yorkshire Forward in the south. The level of grant support is dependent upon the size of the business and its location, with some projects attracting support of over 25% of capital expenditure.
To be eligible for assistance a project must involve capital expenditure, create skilled jobs, raise productivity significantly, and demonstrate a need for the grant assistance to enable the project to proceed.
The grant is discretionary, and represents the minimum amount necessary for the project to go ahead. Maximisation of the grant therefore depends upon detailed analysis of the forecasts and a robust case for assistance. It is equally essential that no prior commitment, either in terms of expenditure or job creation, takes place prior to an offer of assistance.
During recent years Clive Owen & Co LLP has helped many businesses obtain grants amounting to over £3m in total. If you would like to find out if your business plans would attract grant assistance please contact Neville Baldry or John Davison at our Darlington office on 01325 349700.
