Increased Late Filing Penalties at Companies House

Please note, the rates at Companies House for late filing penalties will increase from 1 February 2009 on the following basis:

• Up to one month overdue - £150
• Over one month but under three months - £375
• Over three months but under six months - £750
• Over six months - £1500

This means that any accounts still outstanding will become liable to the new rates if not filed by 1st February 2009.

Also, the penalty will be doubled for any company which files late having also filed late in the previous year.
