Regional Firm Strenthens Tax Team!
A highly experienced Tax specialist has joined one of the region's leading firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

Simon Briton has been appointed as Senior Tax Manager with Clive Owen & Co LLP. Simon brings with him considerable experience gained both in accountancy and legal professions. His knowledge has been developed by handling clients ranging in size and industry, from independent regional businesses to international entities.
The focus of his work is on finding tax savings for businesses in the region, particularly in respect of commercial property and technology.
Simon moved from the North East to London in 1998, where he worked for global accountancy firms handling a wide range of matters for international clients. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2001. He also worked for a leading London law firm and he qualified as a tax solicitor in 2003. In 2005, Simon relocated back to the North East where he worked for a prominent NE law firm and developed a strong reputation for practical and proactive tax planning.
Simon's appointment is a very innovative development for the firm. The appointment of a tax specialist who is also a solicitor brings with it significant benefits. The firm is currently expanding further into specific sectors and developing the range of tax advice provided.
