We are celebrating 35 successful years in business with a significant investment designed to drive its ambitious plans for further growth.
The firm, which has offices in Darlington, Durham and York, has developed from a start-up business in 1983 to establishing itself as one of the North’s leading firms of chartered accountants and business advisers with more than 3,500 clients, 12 partners and over 100 employees.
The investment, in preparation for a new phase of growth, includes a new fully responsive website and a new brand image to better represent the firm and its ambitions. The website, which is adaptable across the range of devices, also includes a dedicated client portal. Further investment in the latest technology includes new HR systems, upgrades to the payroll bureau and the cloud accounting division.
Clive Owen LLP, which has been short-listed for the North East Accountancy Awards 2018 firm of the Year, has achieved many notable successes in its 35 year history.
The award-winning corporate finance team, led by partner Angus Allan, was recently ranked at number two in the North East region based on volume of mergers and acquisition transactions.
Demonstrating the breadth of the services and advice offered, the grants team and grants advisory partner Neville Baldry have accessed nearly £200 million of funding for clients in the last five years. The firm also has an 11-strong tax team, with specialist expertise in R&D tax credits and its own IT division, which provides comprehensive IT services for business.
