Kathryn Baggott
Manager
I started my career in Learning and Development with Lindt & Sprungli Chocolate in 2019. From being 21, I was a Store Manager for different retailers such as The Body Shop, L’Occitane En Provence, Crabtree and Evelyn and Lindt. I really enjoyed coaching my team and supporting them with development plans to help them succeed. I was given an opportunity to become a Global Service Champion Trainer for Lindt in 2018 alongside my Store Manager role, which is where my love for Learning and Development truly started! I then moved into my first L&D role with Lindt as a Learning and Development Advisor. Most recently before joining Clive Owen, I was Learning and Development Manager for KP Snacks, where I led the Education and Training initiatives for a large manufacturing site, and deputised for the UK.
Qualifications- Insights Training Accredited Practitioner
Throughout my career I have predominantly had a customer facing role, alongside people development which I thrive on. I have been responsible for hitting key KPI’s, upskilling teams, performance management and ensuring compliance standards are in place. I am really passionate about setting employees up for success from the start to ensure they have all the tools they need to perform. One key project I was proud to be involved with was designing and delivering Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training for a Leadership Team, Line Managers and factory staff. The delivery was really thought provoking and sparked some key conversations for change.
Career HighlightsI started my L&D advisor role for Lindt, just as the COVID lockdown started. I had the opportunity to support teams, and Line Managers with the knowledge of how to work remotely successfully. It was a new learning curve that everyone was part of, and we had a great network of shared experiences. Alongside that I supported with Mental Health First Aider training remotely, to ensure that all our employees had the resources to cope with a scary and new situation. This time was invaluable for supporting, learning new skills for remote training delivery, and how to keep learners engaged through a screen. I would also say that becoming an Insights Accredited Practitioner was a real career highlight. It enabled me to train teams on effective teamwork, understanding different personality types and ways of working for key success.
Hobbies and InterestsI live by the sea, so love going out for walks to the beach. I really love travelling and seeing new places. In the last couple of years, I have travelled to Norway, Iceland and Italy which were all very different but amazing to experience! I spend a lot of time with my friends and family outside of work, and love building Lego for a bit of relaxation time!
