Rebecca Davison

Associate Partner | Audit & Accounts

I am an Associate Partner based in our Darlington office, with over 10 years' experience supporting owner-managed businesses and larger corporate groups with audit, accounts and business advisory services.

I enjoy building close working relationships with clients, helping them understand their finances, strengthen their financial processes and make informed decisions as their businesses develop.

I work with a varied portfolio of clients, from start-ups and growing owner-managed businesses to larger private equity-backed groups. I tailor my approach to each business, whether providing practical advice during periods of growth or supporting more complex organisations with external audits, financial reporting and internal controls.

I regularly guide businesses through their first audit, helping them approach the process with confidence and keeping it as straightforward as possible. I also work closely with clients to strengthen financial systems, improve reporting processes and identify practical improvements that make a difference to their day-to-day operations.

My sector expertise includes solicitors and academy trusts, where I understand the importance of meeting specific financial reporting and regulatory requirements while maintaining effective financial controls.

I also work with businesses across manufacturing, construction, retail and professional services, adapting my approach to their individual needs.

I graduated from Newcastle University with a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance in 2014 and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2016. I have spent my career working in accountancy practices across the North East, specialising in audit and accounts.

FAQ's

I believe a good audit should deliver value beyond compliance. These insights can help businesses operate more effectively and give stakeholders, including lenders and investors, greater confidence.
