Clive Owen LLP has geared up for further growth at its Durham office with the appointment of three new employees.
Kelly Homer joins the team as assistant manager and Hayley Thompson and Amy Falcus as trainee chartered accountants.
Kelly returns to Clive Owen after previously completing her training with the firm. Hayley, who is part way through her ACA training, and Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualified Amy will receive full study support as they work towards completing the prestigious ACA qualification with the ICAEW.
The ACA qualification includes undertaking 15 accountancy, finance and business modules, practical work experience, professional development and ethics and professional scepticism.
The firm was recently recognised for its excellence with the accolade of Accountancy Firm of the Year (51 – 200 employees) at the prestigious North East Accountancy Awards 2018.
The firm, which also has offices in Darlington and York, has grown significantly over its 35-year history since Clive Owen himself founded the firm, working with a broad range of businesses across North East and Yorkshire offering a range of specialised services.
The Durham office opened 21 years ago with two staff. Following significant growth, it doubled its office space in 2015 with a move to Kepier House at Belmont Business Park. It now has 17 staff serving clients across a range of sectors.
Gary Ellis, Partner at Clive Owen LLP in Durham, said: “Many of our clients have been with us since we started in the city and our excellent reputation has led to many referrals and consistent growth over the last 21 years.
“We are all delighted to welcome Kelly back to the firm, and pleased that Hayley and Amy have chosen us to continue their training. They all have very bright futures ahead of them.”
